Yes. All Drinkin’ Buds products are federally legal. Our products are 100% hemp-derived and contain less than the federal limit of 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight.
In December of 2018, the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018 (more well known as the Farm Bill) was signed into law. It removed hemp, defined as cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.) and derivatives of cannabis with less than than 0.3 percent delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) on a dry weight basis, from the definition of marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).
How old do you need to be to consume your products?
The federal government does not provide an age restriction or guidance on purchasing or consuming hemp-derived products that meet federal requirements, however, your state or local jurisdiction might. If you have any questions, we recommend you consult with your local authorities.

What’s the difference between delta-9 THC and delta-8 THC?
Delta-9 THC and delta-8 THC are both naturally occurring cannabinoids found in varying amounts in hemp and cannabis. Molecularly, delta-9 THC possesses a double-bonded oxygen atom located on the 9th carbon atom, whereas, delta-8 THC possesses a double-bonded oxygen atom on the 8th carbon atom. This molecular difference produces a significantly different experience between the two compounds, with most users describing an uplifting, energetic, and milder psychoactive effect when using delta-8 THC compared to delta-9 THC.
